You will have heard by now that in the recent storms the beech tree came down, damaging the lychgate. We are very grateful that the tree was removed in time for our Christmas services. Until the lychgate can be made safe we will need to enter the Church by crossing the grass, but this might be difficult for some people, particularly if the ground is very wet.
So, because of the risk of someone having a fall, combined with the lack of heating, the PCC has decided that we should not hold our usual Sunday Services at St Mawnan in February. We are very grateful to the Methodists who will welcome us at their 10.30 services at St Michael. We will decide about March Services at the February PCC. Please let the PCC members know what you think.
